Inspired by the fabulous shapes and colours that she finds in unexpected places, Georgina Griffiths creates glasswork that is both seductive and intriguing.
Each piece is entirely handmade in London and may be fired in a kiln several times before it is finished. The jewellery combines precious metals with sparkling dichroic glass to achieve subtle tones and textures. The cufflinks feature quirky printed elements that are fused (melted) into the glass itself.
Georgina’s current designs are drawn from vintage illustrations, scientific imagery – and fleeting glimpses of the city around her. |
