For over 10 years she has been gathering other people’s discarded materials and transforming it into contemporary re purposed home furnishings, which hopefully raise a smile and create an emotional attachment with the user.
All Barley's work is produced in house from her studio/shop, which she established in June 2000.

Barley Massey sources the clothing from her family run recycling factory LMB in Newham. They are then brought back to her studio for creative processing - laundering, sorting, unpicking, re piecing and stitching.
Please note: Due to the recycled nature of the product appearances can vary. The cushions will be in the same configuration as in the image shown but the shirt and ties will change.
